The CTSI is actively recruiting for a Data Management Analyst III, who will serve as a Data Analyst on the Integrated Data Repository (IDR) research services team. The position will be responsible for working with UF researchers to identify data needs for research studies; extracting, transforming, and reporting data from UF Health clinical information systems to support research and collaborating with UF Health reporting and analytics teams, programming, and using query software to assess and describe clinical data quality for use in research.
The Integrated Data Repository (IDR) is a team of data and information technology personnel, and an institutional clinical data warehouse that combines data from across UF Health to aid clinical, operational, and research decision making. The IDR research services team is focused on providing high-quality IDR data to UF teams in support of research.<\/p>

RESEARCH DATA REQUEST MANAGEMENT
A primary role for this position is to prioritize, coordinate, and fulfill multiple research projects\u2019 data requests often under tight deadlines.
Specifically, this position will:<\/p>

\u2022Use Python, SQL, and\/or other database\/analytical software platforms to extract, manipulate, analyze data in support of research data requests.
\u2022Contribute to the IDR team in setting strategies and priorities for responding to research data requests.<\/p>

\u2022Communicate effectively with research teams; manage a queue of incoming research data requests, and a portfolio of ongoing research data requests and pipelines of varying size and complexity.<\/p>

\u2022Review Institutional Review Board protocols to ensure compliance between research data requests and data releases; Ensure compliance with privacy protocols on data sharing for research.<\/p>

DATA MODELING AND QUALITY
The IDR aims to provides secure, accurate, and reliable data to support rigorous research. The person in this position must uphold the highest standards of data quality, conduct data quality analyses, and describe data quality strengths and weaknesses in the context of research.<\/p>

\u2022Set priorities and strategies for incorporating new sources of data into the Integrated Data Repository based on demand from UF researchers;
\u2022Create and executes the organizations\u2019 strategy for improving and maintaining research data quality; ensure compliance with data quality standards.<\/p>

\u2022With the IDR team, define and establish data quality definitions and rules consistent with unit and organizational priorities.<\/p>

\u2022Define data quality metrics and establish processes to measure and monitor them continuously.<\/p>

\u2022Communicate effectively with the IDR research team and UF researchers about data quality, including strengths and weaknesses.<\/p>

\u2022Work with IDR team and IT partners to prevent and remediate identified quality issues using both manual and automated solutions.
\u2022Develop and recommend strategies to serve growing research demand for data sets, data analysis, data queries, reports, and business intelligence across UF Health.<\/p>

QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
The position will interact with, and must communicate effectively, with a range of experts in database modeling, statistical methods, machine learning, simulation, and other advanced analytic approaches.<\/p>

WRITING REPORTS OF ANALYSES
Using software tools for business intelligence and analytics (e.g., SAP product stack), word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and organizational analyses (e.g., Microsoft Office products), provide reports of analyses to decision maker<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

$73,000.00 - $80,000.00; commensurate with education and experience.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Master\u2019s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor\u2019s degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

\u2022 Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, statistics, information systems, or related field and four years of relevant experience.
\u2022 Experience with data standards and formats, modeling, database design, analysis and reporting tools, project management and familiarity with health care information systems.
\u2022 Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (such as Epic), systems.
\u2022 In-depth knowledge of SQL.
\u2022 In-depth knowledge of Python.
\u2022 Experience with data integration and business intelligence software (SAP product stack).
\u2022 Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
\u2022 Knowledge of basic principles of health sciences research.
\u2022 Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
\u2022 Ability to work effectively and independently.
\u2022 Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
\u2022 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>
