Classification Title:

Laboratory Technician I

Job Description:

Conducts field and lab experiments and data collection.

Maintains clean and organized labs and greenhouses.

Compiles and summarizes information and data from experiments.

Maintains colonies of insects and mites.

Expected Salary:

$15.00 Compensate with Experience and Education.

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree in an appropriate area; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Expertise working with insects, mites under laboratory conditions. Experience conducting lab-, greenhouse-, and field-based scientific experiments with entomopathogenic fungi. Expertise using sterile technique in culturing and applying entomopathogenic fungi preferred.
