Job Description:

The Small Animal Hospital is seeking an OPS Radiation Therapist who’s primary focus will be in Radiation Oncology and who is passionate about the opportunities the oncology specialty can provide in prolonging the lives of their patients, while extending compassion and empathy to their patients and loved ones. The primary role of this technician is to deliver Radiation Therapy to patients.

An individual in this position must possess excellent communication skills and be proactive in determining the needs of the hospital. A successful applicant should enjoy learning new things and can quickly adapt to a changing environment. They need to possess a good base knowledge of Radiation Therapy and express a positive attitude in their daily work. The individual must be able to communicate effectively, demonstrate critical thinking and professionalism.

This is a time-limited part-time position. A post-offer education verification, background check, and health assessment are required.

Example of Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Delivering Radiation
  • LinAc QA (Daily, Weekly, Monthly)
  • Performing warm-up of LinAc
  • Be able to troubleshoot LinAc
  • Assisting with Treatment Planning CTs utilizing bite blocks and body molds
  • Documenting in electronic medical records
  • Keeping and reporting records of patient load and maintenance
  • Acting as point person for RT treatments and planning

Shift:

Monday – Friday 9am-12pm

Commensurate with experience

Licensed Radiation Therapist
