Fortescue is now consistently producing 175-180 million tonnes of iron ore per year and has an exciting future ahead as it diversifies from a pure play iron ore producer to a green renewables and resources company.

The company is scheduled to commence production at its Iron Bridge magnetite mine in mid-2022.

Iron Bridge is Fortescue’s US$2.6 billion project, set to deliver 22mtpa of high grade 67% Fe magnetite concentrate product. Located 145km by road south of Port Hedland, the mine will deliver an innovative process design and industry-leading energy efficient operation.

Position Title: Maintenance Services Supervisor (Canning Basin Borefield)

Work Location: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

Roster: 8D6R Days only

Summary of role

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a small multidisciplinary team of mechanical fitters and electricians to operate and maintain the raw water supply system to Iron Bridge, our new magnetite mine. The position shall be FIFO from Perth to Port Hedland with accommodation based at Pardoo Station (180km east of Port Hedland) which is near the raw water supply borefield.

Reporting to the Maintenance Services Superintendent for Water, the scope of responsibility includes operation and maintenance of ten bores situated in the West Canning Basin along with the 200km raw water pipeline and conveyance infrastructure including a transfer pump station, storage tanks, HV switch room, control panels and gensets.
