Mining Coordinator<\/strong><\/p>

Location: Cloudbreak<\/strong><\/p>

Fortescue\u2019s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.<\/p>

Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, our Cloudbreak operations are seeking a suitably qualified, highly experienced Mining Coordinator. The position will be responsible for the management and coordination of plant and human resources to meet or exceed the mine plan in a safe and efficient manner.<\/p>

FIFO ex Perth to Cloudbreak working an 8 days \/ 6 off roster.<\/p>

Key accountabilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>

1. Safety<\/li>
   • Provide visible Fortescue Values leadership (lead by example) modelling and compliance with Fortescue Code of Conduct behaviours<\/li>
   • Provide and maintain safe systems of work in mining operational areas<\/li>
   • Provide and maintain safe workplaces<\/li>
   • Ensure employees understand and comply with safe systems of work<\/li>
   • Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents and provide effective feedback to work teams<\/li>
   • Proactively participate in Occupational Health and Safety activities and consultation processes across Mine Operations<\/li><\/ul>
   • Production<\/li>
     • Provide input into mine planning processes to ensure practicality of mining plans<\/li>
     • Agree to and execute daily mine plan<\/li>
     • Effective utilisation of mining fleet<\/li>
     • Identify and respond to threats to the mine plan<\/li>
     • Identify improvement opportunities<\/li><\/ul>
     • People<\/li>
       • Coach, mentor and develop Mining Supervisors<\/li>
       • manage short interval control process to drive Supervisor compliance to the mine plan<\/li>
       • Ensure compliance with HR management policies and procedures (leave, injury management, performance, etc.)<\/li><\/ul><\/ol>

         Qualifications and skills required:<\/strong><\/p>

         • WA Class HR Driver's Licence<\/li>
         • 3 years supervision in large scale mining environment<\/li>
         • Ability to interpret and deliver to 24-hour and 2-week mine plans<\/li>
         • Strong communication and interpersonal skills<\/li>
         • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, BMS or similar data and reporting systems<\/li>
         • Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act\/Regs<\/li>
         • Quarry Manager's Ticket (desired not essential)<\/li><\/ul>
