Base Location: Leeds, Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Dublin

Salary: Senior Pressure Systems Engineer (£46,100 - £69,100) & Pressure Systems Engineer (£39,400 - £59,000) + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

SSE Thermal are currently looking for a Pressure Systems Engineer and a Senior Pressure Systems Engineer covering Steam and Water systems at the Power stations. The role is to support the following main activities:

- Asset Integrity through the corporate governance role ensuring compliance with standards and legislation.

- Technical Assurance through delivery of the requirement of PSSR(2000), including outage coordination.

- Technical Assurance for thermal new build projects; the role will require key interaction with design, quality and construction activities.

And additional, for the Senior Engineer role:

- Technical Authority supporting Asset Integrity, through a corporate governance role owning and authoring standards and ensuring compliance with legislation.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering (or similar).

- A working knowledge of relevant legislation and design codes.

- Be experienced in the area of pressure systems particularly covering steam and water systems within steam raising plant (other experience areas may be considered).

- Be a Chartered Engineer (Senior) or working to toward becoming a Chartered Engineer (Engineer).
