$102,080 to $108,528 per annum

Period of Employment

Permanent, full-time, day work, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Community Rehabilitation Unit – Repatriation Centre, Davey Street


This is a clinical leadership role in the coordination, integration and evaluation of health care services provided by the Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU) to achieve best practice outcomes and service delivery improvement.

In conjunction with the CRU Manager, CRU Clinical Leaders, key stakeholders in Hospitals South Rehabilitation Services, acute and community-based service providers, the focus of this role is to:

  • Establish and maintain an identifiable point of information and referral for clients, service providers and other stakeholders of the CRU and promote rehabilitation services across the continuum of care.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate systems to maintain and improve access and flow for clients.
  • Provide professional advanced clinical leadership, expertise, and consultancy in specialist Rehabilitation Nursing care for clients of the Community Rehabilitation Unit as per the Australasian Rehabilitation Nurses’ Association (ARNA) scope of practice.
  • Ensure nursing staff competencies are maintained in line with the ARNA Competency Standards and in accordance with best practice principles.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  • Current Driver’s Licence

c) Serious Drug Offences

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in working in a community rehabilitation setting
  • Completed or working towards a post graduate qualification related to rehabilitation
