Job Description:

The UTS Data Science Institute has deep experience in helping businesses and government unleash value from their data that supports evidence-based decisions. We deliver practical, innovative solutions to solve real-world challenges. DSI is home to award-winning data scientists with real impact, with 2 winners of Australian Museum Eureka Prizes: Fang Chen (2018), Longbing Cao (2019); 6 major industry awards since 2018; and 200+ papers in major national and international journals and conferences.

Deliver applied data science research for industry and government partners. Work with real-world data and real-world clients to unlock real-world impact within a supportive team of expert data scientists and data engineers. Collaborate closely with industry and government partners. Work on machine learning, data analytics, and their real-world applications. The position will be based at the centrally located UTS Campus in Ultimo and will report directly to the Executive Director of the Data Science Institute, Distinguished Professor Fang Chen.
About the Role
About You Previous experience working with remotely sensed data is desirable, but not required, and working with business IT solutions, environmental, climatic, or agricultural data is highly desirable, but not required.

Base Salary Range: $93,719 to $120,078 pa (HEW 7-8)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
