Salary: UOM 6 – $87,007 – $94,181 p.a. or UOM 7 – $96,002 – $103,921 p.a. plus 17% super (pro-rata for part-time)

About the LIME Network
The LIME Network is co-located with the Melbourne Poche Centre for Indigenous Health (http://poche.mdhs.unimelb.edu.au) within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.
About the Role
Under the direction of the LIME Senior Project and Research Manager, the Project and Communications Officer will assist with planning, coordination and implementation of key projects and events of the LIME Network. These include an international conference, committee and other stakeholder meetings, development and maintenance of the LIME website and social media pages, and coordination of the LIME Newsletter. This role will also involve communication tasks relating to the Project and its events.
The Leaders in Indigenous Medical Education (LIME) Network promotes and supports effective teaching and learning about Indigenous health in medical education, and the successful participation of Indigenous people in medical education programs. The LIME Network provides its members with opportunities for collaboration on research, curriculum development and implementation, and Indigenous student recruitment and graduation initiatives; peer support and feedback; and sharing of information and resources. THE LIME Network is also keen to support the professional development on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander staff based at the University of Melbourne.
About You
This position requires a keen and dynamic individual, with the ability to be a team player, and a desire to contribute to an exciting program at the cutting edge of improvements in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and medical education.
You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with a range of people including students, academics, representatives from external organisations, governments and Indigenous community members. You also possess a demonstrated knowledge and deep understanding of Indigenous communities and cultures, and the issues affecting these communities as they relate to education.
You will further have:
- A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated problem solving/analytics skills with the ability to deliver creative solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and develop websites and website content as well as social media pages including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts.
- High level of proficiency in the use of standard application software such as the Microsoft Office suite including word processing, spread sheet and database management, mail merging; mailchimp (or similar); design software for the production of flyers etc.
