Job Description: | The Department of Physiological Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking to hire a full-time non-tenure track Assistant Scientist. The successful candidate will work in the laboratory of Dr. Donald Bolser in the areas of neural control of breathing and airway protective behaviors. The individual will conduct integrative physiological experiments in a feline model. Experience includes: EMG placement, recording and analysis from multiple upper airway muscles, experience with custom multiple electrode arrays and simultaneous electrophysiological recordings from multiple neurons in several brainstem sites, advanced spike train analysis, pharmacological methods and maintenance of normal acid-base status in anesthetized animals. |
Expected Salary: | Salary will be commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications and experience. |
Minimum Requirements: | Applicants must hold a PhD degree and should have 4 or more years of postdoctoral training. |
