The UF Computing Help Desk would like to welcome you to apply for an entry level Help Desk Student Assistant position, with $12 per hour starting rate of pay. We are located centrally on UF campus at the HUB, 1765 Stadium Road, and provide assistance via phone, email, live chat, and walk-in consulting.

Our student assistants are responsible for delivering excellent client service for the UF community of faculty, staff, and students regarding a wide variety of tools and services such as GatorLink account creation and access, WiFi, email, VPN, and multi-factor authentication.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

  • Assist clients with Gatorlink account issues such as password resets, two-factor authentication, and Gatorlink account creations.

Expected Salary:

$12.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience, and skills:

  • Prior customer service experience
  • Ability to commit to working for more than 1 consecutive semester
