Program coordination for loT4Ag Center:

Research Coordination - Coordination of information flow between UF IoT4Ag PIs and IoT4Ag center management at U Penn. Tracking and monitoring budgetary expenditures, personnel, and fiscal reports in coordination with various faculty, HR departments, and Research Administrators. Coordination of logistics and itineraries for UF IoT4Ag personnel for center-funded travel. Coordination of logistics and itineraries for students, faculty, and external sponsors visiting UF.

Event Planning / Hosting - Occasional lunches and internal events; plan and host the center-wide IoT4Ag annual meeting once every 4 years.

Outreach / Workforce Development – Coordinate and lead the execution of UF IoT4Ag outreach activities, which include, but are not limited to, engagements with the Cade Museum (“meet an inventor” interactive kiosk at the museum + take-home science kits, podcasts), and the Ag in Classroom program (K-12 field trips to UF agricultural research fields). Liaison with relevant program coordinators and participants in REU/SURF summer research, Gators@SantaFe bridge/pipeline program, cross-institutional university course/curriculum development, and outreach to agricultural professionals via IFAS extension.

Innovation Ecosystem – Assist with customer relationship management for the IoT4Ag innovation ecosystem (commercial/end-user partnership program), which includes external industrial members and agricultural growers. Activities include managing existing members, tracking leads, documenting communications, setting reminders for follow-ups, drafting email communications, and assisting in planning and execution of online or in-person meetings.

Marketing/Communications - In concert with the IoT4Ag Center Director and UPenn staff, define and create content for Marketing and Communications, to promote research projects, publications, achievements, and collaboration opportunities. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: creating content for strategic social media posting and campaign, such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and other social networking sites, providing material for newsletters, and managing website content updates.

General admin support:

Manage calendars and scheduling including timely response to meeting polls, student and collaborator requests for meetings, and contacting meeting participants and organizers for scheduling/rescheduling.

Assist in preparation and updating of non-technical proposal documents (bio sketches, current/pending grants, conflicts of interest, facilities, etc.).

General admin support to the Interdisciplinary Microsystems Group (IMG):

General assistance to the IMG Director (rotates periodically).

Assist IMG student committees for maintaining/updating the IMG lab website and social media accounts.

Manage, track, and assign student/postdoc seating for the IMG group.

Assist in organizing lab meetings and social events such as seminar series, lunches, etc.

Consolidate information from IMG faculty and yearly preparation of an IMG Annual Report.

Expected Salary:

$40,000 - $45,000; commensurate with qualifications and experience

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
