The UF Division of Student Life Department of Technology Services is seeking a UF student to serve as an IT Student Assistant. Student employees who work within the Department of Technology Services receive hands-on experience working in an enterprise IT environment. This dynamic student should be able to handle the following responsibilities:<\/p>

• Responsible for setting up and troubleshooting computer hardware\/software problems. Assisting with Student Life employee questions and technology needs, in person, virtually, or over the phone.<\/li>
• Must be growth-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.<\/li>
• Must be able to show problem solving skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills.<\/li>
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Must be able to interact with Student Life employees as well as IT staff across campus to resolve issues and develop innovative solutions to campus needs. Must be able to adapt to change.<\/li>
• Complete all training requirements upon being hired in a prompt fashion.<\/li>
• Ability to commit to working a minimum of 12 or more hours per week, preferably in 2-hour blocks of time or more.<\/li>
• Must have a valid US driver\u2019s license.<\/li><\/ul>

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.<\/p>

• Ability to commit to working 16 or more hours per week, preferably in 2-hour blocks of time or more.<\/li>
• Demonstrated experience with customer service<\/li>
• Proficient with verbal and written communication<\/li>
• Previous experience with current Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office<\/li>
• Previous experience with diagnosing computer hardware or software related issues, network or computer troubleshooting skills.<\/li><\/ul><\/td><\/tr>
