About The Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences
The Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health Sciences has an enviable research record and is the University of Melbourne’s largest faculty in terms of management of financial resources, employment of academic and professional staff, teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate (including research higher degree) students and the conduct of basic and applied research.
About the Role
The Centre for Digital Transformation of Health requires talented and passionate researchers who wish to grow their research careers in the emerging field of digital health, and who can bring strong methodological expertise and experience to research projects in one or more of the following areas:
- design (particularly service design, co-design, or human-centred design)
- formative evaluation of complex health system projects
- implementation science
- data-driven health services research
- study design for evaluation of complex health interventions
In a typical week at work, you may:
- Contribute to the iterative design, development, implementation and validation of the digital health interventions described in the funded grant applications
- Manage the research project and collaborations for at least one of the Centre's funded projects, including developing and monitoring project timelines and milestones based on goals and objectives of the grant-funded research
- Contribute collaboratively to other research projects within the scope of the candidate’s research and/or methodological expertise
- Undertake research required for the funded projects
About You
As an experienced health and medical researcher, you will have demonstrated the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment and excellent organisational skills including the ability to drive projects and to multi-task contributions to multiple projects. Your excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as your ability to work with minimal supervision, will set you up for success in this role.
You will further have:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience
- A strong research track record in your area of expertise
- Significant experience using validated frameworks, methods and tools
- Experience applying research to design, development and evaluation of digital health interventions
