Job Description:
Fortescue is now consistently producing 175-180 million tonnes of iron ore per year and has an exciting future ahead as it diversifies from a pure play iron ore producer to a green renewables and resources company.
Southwest flights available. Even time, 2/2 roster available.
Position Title - Digger and Drill HD Fitters
Work Location: Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 7D/7N/7R or 7D/7N/14R
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the maintenance activities on the plant, equipment and utilities under accountability are safely executed against schedules, plans, procedures and the Mines Act. You will have a high level of technical experience and knowledge of Liebherr and Terex Excavators. PV271, SKS and DR580 Drills
Key accountabilities will include:
- Delivering a safe working environment and the safe execution of all maintenance activities. Engage and embrace our safety systems, procedures and permits
- Complete all tasked activities without the need for re-work.
- Raise notifications in SAP for machine defects. Include accurate parts lists and timeframes for completion
- Complete all SAP paperwork accurately
- Complete a thorough handover with your fellow oncoming crew. Set them up for success
Qualifications and skills required:
- Experience working with safety management systems
- Ability to bring forward safety initiatives
- Understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance principles
- Understanding of 1SAP work management processes
- Understanding of Lean principles (5S, Visual Management, waste)
- Knowledge of the Mines Safety & Inspection Act & Regulations
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- SAP,BMS Excel and Word computer skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Ability to generate ideas and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Relevant Mobile Plant Trade Certificate
