Job Description:

Position Title - Fabrication Supervisor
Work Location: Fortescue’s Chichester hub is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 7D/7N/7R or 7D/7N/14R
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible to lead and develop a Maintenance team within the Diggers and Drills Department to ensure maintenance activities on the plant, equipment and utilities under accountability are safely executed against schedules, plans, procedures and the Mines Act.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Delivering a safe working environment and the safe execution of all maintenance activities. Promoting, coaching and mentoring personnel to engage in our safety systems, procedures and mines act for all work activities
- Develop accurate weekly fleet maintenance plans
- Build the technical knowledge within your team, to deliver sustainable, reliability and availability performance. This is a requirement to meet the budgeted production requirements for the site
- Review and monitor maintenance personals performance on a weekly basis. Manage all personal within the HR process
- Relationship with the Excavator and Drills Maintenance Coordinators, input ideas to gain and sustain reliability in our fleet
- Complete a thorough handover with your fellow oncoming Supervisor. Set them up for success
Qualifications and skills required:
- Experience as a Maintenance Supervisor role, or similar leadership position
- High level of technical experience and knowledge of mobile maintenance fleet and attachments repairs
- Experienced in supervising maintenance teams across multiple work fronts
- Experienced in people management and people development
- Experienced in developing and leading a high level of Safety Leadership culture
- Experience working with safety management systems
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- SAP,BMS Excel and Word computer skills
- Ability in interact interpersonally at all level is the organisation
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to manage time effectively
