Christmas Creek is embarking on a green sustainable future through multiple initiatives within the HME fleet.
Position Title Supervisor Maintenance Services
Work Location: Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 2/2 FIFO ex Perth or Busselton
We are currently seeking applications for suitably qualified and highly motivated maintenance services supervisor to join the team at Christmas Creek mobile maintenance. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the role will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient day to day activities of a multi-disciplinary team managing tool stores, hydraulic hose facilities, fire suppression technicians and inspections on a variety of workshop infrastructure.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Delivering a safe working environment and overseeing the safe execution of all maintenance activities for maintenance services teams.
- Coach and mentor entry level persons to provide pathways and opportunities for new and diverse candidates to gain a career in mobile maintenance.
- Manage weekly maintenance schedules and ensure compliance to plans to drive safe and cost effective asset availability.
- Ensure compliance to company process and procedures at all times.
- Coordinate repairs and improvement projects to work shop infrastructure including statutory compliance, calibrations and improvement projects.
Qualifications and skills required:
- Previous experience in large scale mobile maintenance workshops preferred
- Previous leadership experience in developing and safely leading a multi disciplined team.
- Previous maintenance experience advantageous
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage resources effectively to safely meet targets.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence safety culture.
- High level computer skills, specifically Microsoft suite, SAP, and safety management systems.
