Job Description:

Fortescue is now consistently producing 175-180 million tonnes of iron ore per year and has an exciting future ahead as it diversifies from a pure play iron ore producer to a green renewables and resources company.

The company is scheduled to commence production at its Iron Bridge magnetite mine in mid-2022.

Iron Bridge is Fortescue’s US$2.6 billion project, set to deliver 22mtpa of high grade 67% Fe magnetite concentrate product. Located 145km by road south of Port Hedland, the mine will deliver an innovative process design and industry-leading energy efficient operation.

Position Title - Electrical Supervisor Iron Bridge Concentrate Handling Facility

Work Location: Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.

Roster: 8:6,7:7 Dayshift / Nightshift

Reporting to the Concentrate Handling Facility Production Superintendent, you will be responsible for all aspects of fixed plant & dewatering operations within the CHF facility. You will lead a diverse team comprised of different trade disciplines and operational personnel with a focus on safety, quality and vision for continuous improvement.

Key accountabilities will include:

Proven commitment to safety
Demonstrated strong Fortescue Values
Leading by example with a key focus on development and mentoring of team members
Continual liaison with Iron Bridge Mine and FMG Port personnel regarding operational interactions
Conducting & coaching of Field Leaderships, Planned Task Observations, Hazard Identification & Rectification
Lead day to day operations and maintenance tasks within the CHF facility, overseeing both plant operations and maintenance activities
Auditing and improvement of maintenance practices with a key emphasis on QA/QC processes to ensure high plant availability, run time and to ensure key production KPI's are met

Qualifications and skills required:

WA 'A' Grade Electrical License
Completed Electrical Nominees Course and held In-House Electrical License within the last two years
High Voltage Operations (Refresher training completed within last 2 years)
3-5 years previous experience in a large mining operation fixed plant or equivalent, actively in a supervisory &/or coordination role
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP CMMS
Strong leadership experience and ability to engage and empower teams
Frontline Supervision experience including DMIRS Section 44 appointment
Strong understanding of Fortescue Identify and Rectify process and Safety Management Systems
Experienced in all facets of statutory electrical compliance including all applicable standards and regulations
