Job Description: | The Small Animal Hospital is recruiting a Veterinary Service Representative for the Oncology service. This position is integral member of the patient care team and acts as a point person for communication with clients, referring veterinarians, and other areas of the hospital. The Service Representative coordinates many aspects of the receiving day in addition to ensuring that patient records are complete and communicating via phone and email with a wide variety of people both inside and outside the hospital. An individual in this position must possess excellent communication skills and be proactive in determining the needs of the hospital. A successful applicant must possess the ability to empathize with clients and remain composed and sincere under stressful situations. Ideal applicant is motivated, well organized, and projects a professional image while enjoying learning new things and adapting to a changing environment. They should possess a good base knowledge of veterinary medicine. Examples of Veterinary Service Representative Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: • Answer calls in a timely manner The service receives Monday - Friday. May require working earlier than 8:00am or later than 5:00pm |
Expected Salary: | Starting salary $16-18 an hour |
Minimum Requirements: | High school diploma and four years of experience in veterinary and customer service. |
Preferred Qualifications: | • Experience working in veterinary medicine • Knowledge of medical terminology |
