Job Description:

The Protein Data Bank in Europe (PDBe; pdbe.org) is a founding partner of the Worldwide Protein Data Bank organisation (wwPDB; wwpdb.org), which maintains the PDB, the global archive of 3D structural data on biomacromolecules. ~The PDBe team further maintains a number of databases that support deposition and advanced search and analysis services for structural biologists and the wider scientific community. The team consists of an international and inter-disciplinary mix of professionals (scientists and IT specialists).

We are looking for a software developer with a strong demonstrated record of using Python programming language and a working knowledge of relational and/or other database technologies to further develop and maintain the OneDep system. A background in, or affinity with, Structural Biology, Bioinformatics or Chemoinformatics is a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the global OneDep team to plan and implement improvements to the system.
