Principal Industrial Process Engineer
Work Location: Perth
Roster: Monday to Friday
Reporting to the Industrial Process Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for the process technical design and interfaces across the FFI green technology projects.
This position will ideally suit a candidate with Ammonia Plant or Hyrdrogen experience, from an engineering and design background with experience on production plans highly desirable.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Senior process engineering role, support providing process technology solutions, expert advice, and technical support on process design
- Ensure effective application of Process Engineering meet the basis of design requirements of each project
- Process design, simulation, heat & mass balance, process flow diagrams and any required process studies to be undertaken.
- Oversee equipment sizing for process requirements, specifications, and data sheets
- Green Technology process and project technical simulations for high level project evaluation
- Communicating and interfacing effectively with other disciplines, project managers, and equipment and engineering specialist providers
- Assisting in building and interpreting detailed technical and economic models with the data analytics team
- Participation in specific detail design reviews and evaluations including technical safety reviews of design, HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, risk analysis
Qualifications and skills required:
- Bachelor’s degree of Engineering, Chemistry, Process or Mechanical or equivalent study
- Industry experience in either energy power generation, industrial chemical processing, oil and gas processing, Ammonia and Hydrogen manufacturing, projects involving renewable energy would be highly advantageous
- At least 5 years experience working in a multi project setting including high level conceptual studies and feasibility studies through to FID
- Experience running process simulations, heat & mass balances, equipment sizing and specifications, developing PFDs and P&IDs
- Strong data management and manipulation skills, with excellent computer literacy skills
- Exposure to detailed design, construction and exposure to process plant pre-commissioning, commissioning, and troubleshooting would be advantageous
