Job Description: | The IT Analyst I will have the prime responsibility of design, development, coding, and testing. Additionally, the incumbent will document and implement computer applications of varying complexity as required in support of the mission of UF Research. This individual will also work with client/server applications including but not limited to SQL. The incumbent will consult with management, departments, and other staff members throughout the development and implementation process. Maintains, schedules and executes UF Research production application programs. Makes changes prior to implementations and sees to proper disposition of output. Maintains program libraries and documentation. This includes off-hours patching/deployment and framework upgrades for multiple mission critical systems. Designs, develops, and implements information systems, applications and solutions for UF Research. Creates and runs reports as needed. This includes documentation, training, maintenance.. Help Desk support for multiple systems, processing and updating user accounts as needed. Assists the IACUC and IRB senior staff with assessing hardware and software needs and provides input for the division’s strategic plan for computer support. |
Expected Salary: | Commensurate with education and experience. |
Minimum Requirements: | Associate’s degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. |
Preferred Qualifications: | Strongly prefer BS in Decision and Information Science or Management Information Science and three years related experience. Need experience developing web based applications in a windows environment. Demonstrated ability to develop applications using a variety of technologies including (but not limited to) the following skills set that are STRONGLY preferred: Knowledge of Click Commerce/Huron Research Systems is a plus. |
