About the role

This exciting role is a key position within our Betting & Generosity Tech team, where you will be accountable for at least 2 delivery teams of 8 people with diverse skillsets who utilise agile ways of working to deliver Sportsbet’s product set, internal tooling and overall platform health. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing the platform teams
• Leading continual evolution of agile ways of working both within the Platform team and enablement for all teams who interface with the platform
• Setting objectives with the team consistent with the performance framework which promote individual, team and organisational outcomes
• Creating an environment where the Platform team is empowered to self-manage, and sets up Customer Experience teams to more effectively self-manage
• Creating, prioritising and maintaining backlogs to ensure alignment with customer outcomes and provide delivery insight (estimates & progress, risks/issues, dependencies, etc.)
• Providing ongoing insight to stakeholders on outcome progress and/or team health
• Aligning with other Platform teams and Customer Experience Teams to ensure cross team collaboration through mechanisms such as Scrum of Scrums
• Managing stakeholder expectations e.g. connection with multiple backlog owners and Product Management functions to facilitate intake and reporting of work
• Assisting the team with tracking to regular date commitments or release windows and setting expectation of regular shipping
• Working with Platform Managers and other delivery teams to coordinate regular releases into Production with no/minimal disruption to customer experience

About You

We are looking for somebody who is self-starting and passionate about what they do. You have a high attention to detail, are commercial in approach and enjoy the mentoring and coaching aspect a leadership role brings as well as driving and managing delivery! In addition, you have:

• Proven, delivery leadership experience within eCommerce and Agile environments of high volume / throughput and complexity
• A strong understanding of continuous delivery principles and practices, DevOps mindset (MLA tooling, support models, delivery pipelines, microservices)
• The ability to lead teams toward continual delivery and maximum efficiency, including through times of ambiguity or challenges
• Consistent contribution to leadership communities in a collaborative manner that supports the right outcomes for Sportsbet
• A practical and proactive approach and as a LT member evolve our ways of working into the future, providing full support and advocacy toward changes driven by the Platform team
