Project Improvement Engineer – Autonomous Mining

Work Location: Solomon

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Project Improvement Engineer – Autonomous Mining to join our Mining Projects team. Reporting to the Mining Projects Superintendent at Fortescue’s Solomon Mine, your role will involve supporting the mining operations team in leading the optimisation of Caterpillar COMMAND AHS solution, including autonomous drilling and dozing. You will collaborate with our operational personnel and leaders to ensure we are focusing on initiatives that will add the highest amount value to the business.

You will have strong interpersonal skills with good understanding of operational and planning functions within the mining industry for Autonomous Operations, including technical and support functions that support these areas. You will possess strong technical skills and be able to articulate potential risks and opportunities to relevant stakeholders.
