Job Description:Circulation Assistant duties include: checking in/out materials; helping patrons locate materials in the catalog and library; answering calls to the Legal Information Center; assisting with library projects, which may include shelving books, shelf reading, etc. as needed; Some job duties may involve prolonged periods of sitting at the front desk. Student workers are hired on a semester-by-semester basis, with the possibility of continuing their positions each semester, based upon their work performance and the library’s budget. Work location: Legal Information Center.

Applicants should be available to work for at least 9-14 hours a week for the entire semester and be willing to work a regular shift, including weekends and weeknights

Spring semester hourly scheduling will be:

  • 12:00PM - 9:00PM (or 6:00PM if required) Monday - Thursday
  • 6:00PM - 9:00PM Monday - Thursday

Applicants can expect to be scheduled between 6-12 hours per week.

Strong customer service skills are required. The ability to follow directions from managers and maintain good attendance is essential.
