Become a part of the UFIT Training team in the Center for Instructional Technology & Training.

A successful Education/Training Specialist must be able to:

  • Implement appropriate pedagogy, develop and deliver interactive face to face and Online training for faculty and staff.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with technology and ability to train users on multiple platforms.
  • Manage training projects successfully, communicate effectively with stakeholders and prioritize tasks
  • Adapt to rapidly changing technological learning environment.
  • Have a working knowledge of Storyline or Articulate Rise a plus.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

  • Interpret and implement the technical training required to address the needs of staff and the diverse community UF serves
  • Knowledgeable of content management systems such as Canvas
  • Articulate stakeholders needs and able to prioritize tasks
  • Apply quality assurance methods for training modules to ensure that digital content is accessible to all individuals
  • Update UFIT Training Web pages and evaluating and documenting internal procedure

Expected Salary:

$50,000 – $55,000 commensurate based on education and experience. In addition, the University of Florida offers a very competitive benefits package. https://benefits.hr.ufl.edu/

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and skills:

  • Working knowledge of Storyline or Articulate Rise a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse populations

Preferred skills, expertise, and experience:

  • Knowledge of Canvas LMS
  • Provide technical user support or training in a higher education or business
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the experience of higher education or Training or Adult Learning
  • Developing, delivering, and evaluating training and /or working with adult learners
  • Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning models, training models, training technology and pedagogy
