Job Description:

The individual will participate in and support the teaching and service activities of the Veterinary Forensic Pathology Service in the UF Veterinary Hospitals. Forensic training will include veterinary pathology, entomology, osteology/anthropology, and DNA analysis. The fellow will be able to attend trials in local courts and assist with and/or observe scene investigations. Teaching responsibilities will involve didactic and clinical training of professional students and residents. The forensic pathology service participates in two clinical rotations: Veterinary Forensic Science Clerkship and Diagnostic Pathology Clerkship in Shelter Medicine.

The UF College of Veterinary Medicine is the ninth ranked College of Veterinary Medicine in the US and is the only one that is part of a top 10 public research university (UF is ranked #5 nationally). Expected Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

The requirements for applicants are a DVM, successful completion of a 3-year Anatomic Pathology Residency Program, and have passed Phase I of the ACVP certification examination. Experience with animal cruelty investigations.
