Job Description:

Examples of duties include but not limited to:
• Responsible for recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
• Establish work priorities; schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage while minimizing downtime and overtime, and maintain an efficient workflow
• Ensure designated tasks are completed in an accurate, professional, and timely manner
• Validate and approve employees’ time
• Maintain employee schedules
• Update, develop, and utilize training /onboarding material
• Ensure staff meet and maintain minimum standards for technical knowledge and patient care through regular training and assessments
• Instruct assistant staff of proper protocols for all necessary cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Coordinate with assistant staff to ensure all areas are clean and organized daily
• Maintain and review daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure cleaning and maintenance tasks are being completed
• Provide regular work performance feedback through bi-weekly, quarterly, and annual reviews of assistant staff

Expected Salary:

Salary is $20-$24, dependent on experience

Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred
• Experience supervising a team
