Title: Project Manager – Ship Engine

Work location: Perth based (Hazelmere)

Roster: 5/2 Roster (Mon to Fri)

In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet

Based out our new Hazelmere R&D facility and reporting to the Rail and Marine Chief Engineer, we are presently looking for a Project Manager (PM) – Large 2 stroke marine engines

The Ship Engine PM is responsible to develop a land-based powerplant system centred around a large 2 stroke marine engine. This engine will operate with diesel as pilot fuel and then converted as part of the project to run with carbon-free fuels such as ammonia.

The PM must have experience with large 2 stroke engine design, construction, and commissioning. The minimum engine specifications are listed as follows:

The power plant design should consider all the civil, electrical, mechanical and controls requirements for the installation of the engine and reliable power generation.
