About the role

Base Location: Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, West London, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire or East Sussex

Salary:£46,319 - £61,175 depending on skills and experience + car allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible working options available

What is the role?

This role will include the consistent identification of new innovation opportunities, as well tracking of benefits from innovation projects across the Future Networks team. This will include structured development and refinement of the business case for projects or initiatives from project inception, through trialling to deployment.

Key Accountabilities will include:

- Identifying and developing projects to support the delivery of the SSEN Innovation Strategy to maximise benefits for SSEN and customers.

- Developing and maintaining business case for innovation project development; this will require robust identification and quantification of potential benefits from innovation and how they impact on SSEN within the RIIO framework.

- Ensuring timely, accurate and reliable completion of key Regulatory submissions on behalf of the DSO and Innovation team.

- Ensuring that all submissions are completed in accordance with any published Ofgem guidance, templates etc.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role we would love you to have:

- Experience in a project development role in supporting business critical/complex systems in SSEN or a comparable large organisation.

- A thorough and in-depth understanding of the gas and electricity industry including standards and regulations.

- Detailed understanding of Regulatory Reporting and Data Assurance Requirements.

- Robust technical knowledge – degree level or equivalent.

- Excellent analysis and knowledge transfer skills to a proven professional level.
