Salary:£32,700 - £49,100 depending on skills and experience + excellent benefits + annual bonus

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time, 37 hours | Flexible working patterns available

Our Renewables Operations teams are responsible for operating our onshore and offshore wind and hydro fleet safely and efficiently. We carry out essential operations and maintenance to maximise asset value in a dynamic energy market.

What is the Role?

The Turbine Engineer will provide embedded focused Engineering support to the Offshore Wind teams to ensure that WTG assets are managed safely and effectively for both routine maintenance and defect resolution activities. They will be involved in ensuring safety and quality of works, enlisting work scheduling and organisational control.

What do I need?

We're looking for you to have a relevant engineering-based qualification, or significant previous experience within an offshore or renewables generation industry.

You'll need knowledge and practical experience of working within a controlled safety environment, along with managing projects under established safe systems of work, i.e. Wind Turbine Safety Rules or equivalent, therefore a background encompassing analytical, engineering and project management skills will be necessary.

You will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of offshore wind operations and maintenance works, with the ability to audit and observe both on and offshore working parties and act as an SSE safety representative ensuring that key organisational objectives are met.

Some travelling will be required, therefore you must have a full, current driving licence and reside, or be willing to locate, within 1hr 30 mins travelling time of the base location.
