Period of Appointment
Appointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for 20 months.
Duties
Assist in increasing efficiencies within the branch, by contributing to ongoing improvements to data collection, data and knowledge management, and operational processes.
Provide assistance in dealing with data standards, data collection methods and related issues and contribute to the provision of statistical consultancy services offered within and by State Roads.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, on data and collection issues and challenges.

Job Description:
The Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of a Front Door Project Manager to conduct oversee the OneFlorida+ front door, communications and marketing for the PCORI-funded OneFlorida+ Clinical Research Network. The position will play a leading role in the development and execution of cutting-edge research studies plus oversee the customer-facing OneFlorida+ Front Door and will also provide administrative services for high priority studies as directed by the OneFlorida+ PIs and Director.
Service initiatives include, but are not limited to, supporting the research infrastructure for the Oneflorida+ Clinical Research Network but may also interact with the Integrated Data Repository (IDR), the CTSI, the University of Florida Health Cancer Center (UFHCC), other Clinical Research Networks and external stakeholders.
Duties Include:
Project and Administrative Management:
•Collaborate closely with the Assistant Director of Operations and investigators in the preparation and execution of sponsored program and query proposal documents for grant submissions.
•Provide post-award financial administration and management of a large and complex research portfolio, ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements and University guidelines.
•Coordinate with outside vendors and OneFlorida purchasing to arrange contracts and monitor spending patterns for external and internal subprojects.
•Lead, monitor, and manage project team tasks, assignments, deliverables, and timelines across multiple departmental, organizational, and program-level projects.
•Develop project charters, communication plans, work breakdown structures, project plans, and other project artifacts to define needs, risks, deliverables, and deadlines.
•Prioritize assignments and execute strategies within time constraints to meet project deadlines.
•Establish and lead high-performing project teams, track decisions, risks, and dependencies, and adjust project plans as needed.
Communications and Reporting:
•Monitors OneFlorida project planning, timelines, and tasks.
•Monitors multiple deliverables for projects; creates work plans.
•Effectively communicate project expectations with teams and report on the progress of assigned projects to leadership and stakeholders.
•Track key performance indicators and provide reports for monitoring progress.
•Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders, communicating changes, risks, and variances to project milestones and deliverables.
•Organizes team meetings; prepares meeting agendas, meeting minutes and action items.
15% Relationship Management:
•Ensures proper tracking for the OneFlorida Clinical Research Network as it relates to on-boarding investigators for study implementation within the network. Arranges and coordinates large OneFlorida events and conducts special administrative projects.
Relationship Management:
•Facilitate a project team environment that fosters trust, collaboration, and a solution-oriented focus.
•Work effectively with diverse project teams, leadership, and stakeholders to foster effective working relationships with a focus on successful project implementations.
Dissemination and Continuous Improvement:
•Assist and participate in the collection of data and presentation of project reports, presentations, and articles.
•Conduct project post-mortems, capture lessons learned, and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery and organizational effectiveness.
Administrative Duties:
•Prepare correspondence and related documents as necessary, such as meeting agendas and minutes.
•Process and approve payroll for OneFlorida team members.
•Coordinate special studies or projects as directed.

Expected Salary:
$70,000 to $85,000
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and appropriate experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• At least four years experience leading technical, health-related, or informatics research projects
• Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
• Experience leading project teams using Agile/Scrum methodology and using project management tools and software, Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) preferred.
• Experience overseeing budgeting, billing, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure financial health. Monitor key financial metrics and implement strategies to optimize revenue and control costs.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly with regard to project requirements and documentation
• Excellent written (in English) and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and to collaborate with faculty, staff, and healthcare professionals at multiple levels

The Opportunity
We are looking for candidates with academic and people skills who work well in teams, honor their commitments, and innovate in a rapidly changing world. As an Extension Agent and County Extension Director (CED), you will work jointly for UF/IFAS Extension and Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department. The academic program focus of this Extension Agent position is Agriculture/Natural Resources. As the CED (about 70% of your time), you will lead the total Miami-Dade extension program. As the Agent (about 30% of your time), you will lead through the design, implementation, and evaluation of agricultural education programs designed to assist clientele in small farm management in a resource‐efficient and environmentally sensitive manner. The Agent’s extension education program will be guided by an advisory committee that incorporates the needs of the county’s varied population.
As County Extension Director the candidate will be able to:
Lead, supervise, mentor, and evaluate county faculty and staff.
Foster an inclusive environment and build effective relationships with stakeholders, county government, community leaders, private sector clientele, media, government agencies, county residents, and UF/IFAS faculty, staff, and extension administration.
Assemble and regularly consult an overall advisory committee reflective of county demographics and stakeholders to ensure that all county extension programs are important and relevant and effectively advocate for community extension.
Assure that each county faculty member maintains an extension advisory committee in his/her respective subject matter and areas of responsibility.
Prepare and defend the annual county budget that supports the Miami-Dade County Extension Service office and oversee, review, and approve expenditures for the department.
Demonstrate resourcefulness, creativity, enthusiasm, collaboration, leadership, and innovation to strengthen current educational programs while reviewing and implementing new policies, evaluating performance, maintaining records, assessing risks, communicating, marketing effectively across multi-media platforms, managing financial resources, directing strategic planning, and creating educational materials and opportunities for Miami-Dade County.
As the Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent, the candidate will be able to:
Maintain an effective and varied advisory committee to assist with extension program design, direction, and operation.
Target programs to reflect the area’s population and unique educational needs using a variety of program marketing and delivery methods, including in-person, site visit consultations, and focused virtual platforms such as webinars, videos, and social media.
Collaborate with local growers and UF/IFAS Research Center faculty to help design, conduct, and evaluate studies (including demonstration trials) that assess agriculture and natural resources in Miami-Dade County.
Produce creative, scholarly works and audience-appropriate publications.
