Job Description:
The Department of Radiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville seeks a full-time fellowship-trained Neuroradiologist. This is a non-tenure accruing position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include: Work with colleagues in Neurosurgery, Neurology, Oncology, Radiation Oncology & Pathology, via daily interactions/multidisciplinary meetings. Providing high quality service in a friendly academic setting; serve as mentor to train a great group of residents - our program now has 7 residents per year.
UF health -Jacksonville is the only university-based academic practice in Northeast Florida. We are subspecialized across the department. No nights are required as we have an overnight ED Radiology division. An internal-moonlighting evening shift us available for qualified faculty.
Our Neurology program is growing, encompassing all facets of MRI, CT, and US. We have a collegial group of fellowship trained radiologists who cover for each other: we emphasize a high morale environment and foster a sense of work -life balance. We serve the premier level-1 trauma center in Northeast Florida. There is a high volume of specialized neuro oncology work with the UF Proton Institute . UF Health is a comprehensive stroke center. MRI equipment is almost all Siemens. there are numerous academic and research opportunities available.

Job Description:
Assistant, Associate Professor at the University of Florida. The Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time clinical investigator track position for the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This position seeks an ABIM certified (or eligible) hematologist-oncologist with experience in managing patients with lymphoid malignancies, specifically lymphomas and lymphoproliferative disorders, and an active interest in the development and conduct of clinical trials. This individual will have a primarily clinical assignment focused on lymphoma and will also be expected to develop, conduct, and participate in clinical trials and other collaborative research involving patients with lymphomas. The successful candidate will have the opportunity and will be expected to collaborate in a variety of activities including subspecialty and multidisciplinary clinics at the UF Health main campus, cancer case and research conferences, and clinical trials.
The UF Division of Hematology and Oncology is aligned with, and our faculty are members of, the UF Health Cancer Center, providing novel clinical research, innovative treatments, and compassionate care for individuals facing all types of cancer and hematologic diseases. The Department of Radiology at the University of Florida is actively recruiting to fill one position at the rank of Clinical Assistant/Associate/or full Professor. This position is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, non-tenure track position with primary assignments at UF-Health Shands, Gainesville. Clinical responsibilities include patient care (including neuroimaging interpretation as well as image guided procedures in adult and pediatric patients), multidisciplinary conferences in pediatric/NICU neuroradiology, neurosurgery, head and neck, seizure, and stroke; as well as teaching of housestaff and medical students.
Our practice incudes the University of Florida Children’s Hospital which provides a full range of tertiary care pediatric services and subspecialties.
The University of Florida is listed by US N&WR in the top ten of state universities in the US and offers a full array of undergraduate, graduate, and post doc training in Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine and many subspecialized research areas in the Basic Sciences. Minimum Requirements:
Minimum requirements include an M.D or equivalent degree with completion of an ACGME accredited neuroradiology fellowship. Candidates must be Board Certified/Eligible in Radiology and must obtain a Medical license in the State of Florida prior to employment. Neuroradiology CAQ certified/eligible is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in Head and Neck radiology as well as advanced MR imaging, including DTI and fMRI, is preferred but not required.

The Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-accruing position at the rank of Assistant Professor with research and teaching interests related to violence and victimization beginning August 16, 2024.
Substantive interests in violence and victimization may include but need not be restricted to: interpersonal violence, firearms violence, violence against women or children, and violence and victimization in the family, school, or community contexts. Scholars may also examine the victim/offender overlap, or the ways in which exposure to violence is linked to the perpetration of violence, as well as policies and services intended to prevent violence. We are especially interested in scholars who conduct research on gender or racial-ethnic disparities in violence, whose research is well grounded in theoretical perspectives, and who have strong methodological and analytical skills.
We seek applicants whose records show commitment to rigorous scholarship with the promise of external funding, as well as excellence in teaching. The ability to contribute significantly to graduate education and the mentoring of graduate students is highly desirable.
The Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law is a large and dynamic department with nearly 1,500 undergraduate majors and almost 100 graduate students. The Department has multiple undergraduate programs offered via in-person and online courses, and has recently developed new minors in Sociology of Social justice & Policy and Environmental Justice & Policy. We encompass a concentration of faculty using Artificial Intelligence methods in their research and teaching.
