The role:
We are seeking motivated enrolled nurses to join our dynamic Emergency Department team located at the North West Regional Hospital.
The successful applicant will provide direct patient/client centred nursing care to assigned patients/clients, within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse and under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse/midwife.

The Team:
The Emergency Department at the North West Regional Hospital consists of 17 acute clinical spaces with an additional 4 fast track spaces and a 4 bedded EMU. The department has 2 fully equipped Resus bays, a purpose-built mental health assessment area, a negative pressure isolation room as well as 4 negative flow single rooms. The ED is the referral hospital for the North West of Tasmania.
The ED has an annual attendance rate of approx. 29,000 patients per year. Approximately 30% of these patients are admitted for further treatment and care. The Department treats a broad range of patients including major trauma cases. The ED is supported by a wide range of specialties and generally only refers a small number of patients out of the region.

Fixed term, full time and part time, shift work positions available, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from May until October 2024

Salary: $68,913 - $75,902 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines)

The role:
This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic operating theatre environment, with exposure to complex patient care and access to ongoing educational development. You will work in a supportive multidisciplinary on a rotating 7-day roster, including morning and afternoon shifts. The Attendant will:
Provide support to the nursing and medical staff in undertaking general porting and orderly duties
Work as part of the Emergency Response team to assist with hospital-wide security and participate in all emergency codes
Promote the principles of quality health care and customer service and foster a positive environment for patient outcomes
You will join a cohesive and dynamic team, with on-the-job training provided and access to salary packaging

The role:
Provide expert chairside assistance to the Dental Clinician.
Compile daily and monthly work summaries and data for statistical purposes.
Undertake meticulous cleaning and sterilisation of dental instruments, dental equipment and the dental surgery requiring working knowledge of current NHMRC Infection Control Guidelines, WH&S guidelines, and the Oral Health Service's Infection Control Protocol.
Orient newly qualified staff in local procedures, techniques and policies and where appropriate undertake training of unqualified staff in specific practices related to the provision of chairside assistance and infection control.
