The IT Consultant - Communications is responsible for delivering high level network infrastructure services to the Department of Health, using best practices from the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework. The Consultant will provide expert troubleshooting, operational solutions, network architectures, procedures and recommendations to key stakeholders and management with awareness of a Whole-of-Government (WoG) service provider framework.
The Role:
Provide high-level consultancy, research and development, network architecture design and associated integration services as related to ICT communications technologies for the Communications Group, ICT management, DoH clients.
Maintain and develop network monitoring and management tools, logs and reporting systems to verify the performance of network services delivered to DoH.
Undertake specific projects and tasks within ICT Services as required by the Manager - Office of the Chief Information Officer.
Maintain and improve the Group’s service support processes including the development of networking policy, standards, procedures and work instructions.
Assist the Team Leader, Network Communications by allocating and prioritising the Group’s tasks and providing technical leadership, mentoring, coaching and professional development of team members and other branch staff.

Details of Appointment

The role:
Manage, direct and coordinate the activities of the Biomedical Engineering Department to provide timely, quality and efficient equipment management services across the State.
Provide professional advice and input into relevant committees and working groups in relation to strategic objectives of infrastructure services to achieve best outcomes for the department
Through the development and implementation of key strategic frameworks, policies and processes ensure that budget management, financial policy, business systems and operational administrative reforms are implemented to meet key priorities and targets.
Based on appropriate research and analysis provide high level advice into the strategic use of medical equipment to ensure health services are delivered in the most efficient and effective manner whilst ensuring the needs of the community are met.

To support this commitment, we are seeking interest from suitably qualified Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) for various opportunities through the 2024 Mid-Year Recruitment.
The role:
Responsible for the day to day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the Hospital (or rural facility).
Provide after-hours emergency cover as determined by the relevant work unit.
Rotations to Rural Practice sites across the state are available.
Perform a vital role within a multi-disciplinary team working towards achieving the best possible patient care in a contemporary and well support clinical setting.
Assist to fulfill the tasks associated with the day to day management of private and public inpatients and outpatients within the Hospital and surrounding rural facilities.
Tasks may include but are not limited to, admissions, discharge planning, respond to calls by patient's care team, attend ward rounds, accurate medical record practices, efficient recording of drugs and treatment and appropriate interaction with patients and their families.
Under direction and appropriate supervision of Registrars, ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant health and safety legislation and procedures.
