The role:
As part of the Women's and Children's team, the Administration Officer will:
Provide and maintain a high-level administrative and clerical support service to the Nursing Director of the relevant service and other department managers including the management of clinical, financial and administrative information and correspondence, which is often confidential and highly sensitive in nature.
Contribute to the Administration team for the service to ensure sustainable administration support is available at all times.

Details of Appointment
Permanent part time, day worker position working 68.4 hours per fortnight, commencing from April 2024.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $71,661 - $77,455 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022

Duties
Research and analyse policy issues and contribute to developing policy advice, proposals and recommendations.
Assist with coordinating, implementing, and monitoring initiatives arising from government policies, including National Cabinet priorities.
Build strong working relationships and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on policy and project implementation matters.
Prepare written advice and correspondence, which may include Ministerial correspondence, Minutes, Cabinet documentation, briefing material, supporting material for legislative packages, meeting papers, reports and submissions.
Monitor and analyse general developments in relation to transport infrastructure and freight transport.
Access, analyse and interpret freight data to provide information for use within Infrastructure Tasmania and externally.
Contribute to and maintain data management systems, including data entry and data validation.
Provide secretariat support to committees and project teams and general high-level administrative support when required.
Attend teleconferences, meetings and working groups, as required.
Desirable Requirements
Experience in the use and application of basic spatial analysis tools and techniques, or an interest in acquiring these skills.

The role:
Responsible for supporting the Manager, Emergency Management and Special Operation through the provision of specialist advice regarding strategic and policy issues impacting on the effective delivery of special operations in Ambulance Tasmania.
Lead and facilitate projects related to the implementation of special operations capabilities, strategy, and policy across Ambulance Tasmania, working in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Responsible for the ongoing review of the AT special operations framework including, but not limited to, mass casualty, urban search and rescue, wilderness, and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) response capabilities.

Current Driver Licence

Qualification and/or experience in incident management, particularly the Australasian Inter-Service Incident Management System (AIIMS) or Major Incident Medical Management System (MIMMS), or the ability to obtain a qualification and/or experience in incident management.
Qualification and/or experience in ambulance special operations, or the ability to obtain a qualification and/or experience in ambulance special operations.
Relevant experience working in areas of emergency management, safety, training, and quality.
Current Negative Vetting – Level 1 security clearance, or the ability to obtain an appropriate security clearance.
