We are looking to recruit an experienced Full Stack developer to join the Literature Services Team at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) located on the Wellcome Trust Genome Campus near Cambridge in the UK. EMBL-EBI is part of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL).Our team develops and maintains EuropePMC (https://europepmc.org/) - a repository of 6.5 million full text biomedical research articles, supplemented with ~38 million abstracts, database links and citation information which is supported by 30 international biomedical funders.This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to an ambitious open science project that aims to become the literature resource of choice for life science and biomedical researchers worldwide.You will be working together with the rest of the team (Developers, Tester, UX, Product Manager, Team Leader, Data Scientist, Community Manager, Help Desk, Database Administrators - DBAs) in an Agile environment and will need to collaborate with external collaborators.You will be responsible for engineering solutions and for the development and maintenance of software components that will support both the ingest and consumption of content including metadata, abstracts, full text journal articles, preprints, grey literature and related data. Classification Title:Laboratory Technician IIIJob Description:Perform laboratory testing of human biological samples for diagnostic purposes using various methodologies. Testing includes, but is not limited to, operation of state-of-the-art automated chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, and coagulation systems and performing various clinical laboratory assays using automated and/or manual methods.Actively participate in the interfacing of automated instrumentation with the laboratory information system (LIS); involved in LIS-associated tasks such as test builds and dictionary maintenance. 10% - Participate in the overall maintenance of the laboratory. Fortescue is now consistently producing 175-180 million tonnes of iron ore per year and has an exciting future ahead, establishing itself for future growth in a global market through innovation, product diversification and asset development.Position: Superintendent Hydraulic Barrier (24 month Fixed Term)Work Location: Solomon Roster: FIFO Ex Perth 8:6 The Queens Valley area at the Solomon Operations is expanding its mining activities and this exciting project is a vital part of the mining plan in the Queens Valley resource. This is a senior site role whose prime responsibility is to oversee and coordinate all activities associated with the Hydraulic Barrier project at Solomon.Utilising your direct reports, to ensure that the operations are productive, safe and to the requisite quality. As a section 44 appointed person, you will champion the site safety culture and adopt and adapt procedures to ensure that the range of activities are directed at zero harm and zero damage.Your responsibility will include managing and coordinating the logistics, maintenance, and administrative functions both onsite and offsite. To coordinate information and data exchange, requisite record keeping and reporting. Undertake problem solving, risk management analysis and collaborative consultation to expedite workable solutions. Regularly monitor the Project Schedule and progressive Budget spend and to promote remedial actions and improvements as determined.This is an 8 and 6 role and will have a back-to-back position.Key accountabilities will include:Work within the safe work policies of Fortescue to encourage a culture of zero harm within the department and service provider work groups through ongoing review of service provider’s safety documents (JHA's and Take Control)Produce work plans and instructions that meet technical, budgetary and regulatory requirements in line with the Hydraulic Barrier schedule for the issuance to the project personnel.Ensure that shift Prestart and Toolbox Meetings are mandatorily conducted, and the discussion topics are recorded. Safety Meetings should be held weekly and the attendees and topics are recorded. Conform to environmental policies and procedures of Fortescue and have sitewide clean-ups performed regularly. Review of service provider daily timesheets and reconciliation of monthly claims to be completed in a fair and conservative manner; liaising with the Fortescue Project Manager and cost controllers; contributing to the effective management of department costs.Daily review of stock levels of consumables (including muds, cement and additives) and spare parts and with the consideration of inbound due freight have resupply orders placed in a timely manner.Carry out a minimum of two workplaces section 44 safety inspections per day and make the relevant entries in the Site Record Book.Daily and Weekly reports produced and submitted as requisite.Coach, mentor and assist all project personnel to ensure compliance & production targets are achieved and foster strong working relationships at all levels of the project.Other related assignments and tasks as reasonably requested. Qualifications and skills required:Extensive experience within mining, civil concreting or grouting construction and/or drilling activities Experience of project delivery & management in a mining, engineering or trade background.A good understanding of mining, civil construction and drilling activities.
