To become an Engineer requires a minimum of 4 years of degree level study. It is widely regarded that there are four main disciplines of Engineering, which include:

  • Chemical Engineering: Biomedical, Environmental, Pharmaceutical, & Food
  • Electrical Engineering: Instrumentation, Power, Control, Automation & Telecommunications
  • Mechanical Engineering: Mechatronics, Robotics, Thermodynamics, Nanotechnology & Acoustics

There are also an some other areas of Engineering such as: Aerospace, Marine & Computer Engineering which can provide very diverse working environments.
